On 15 September, De Nieuwe Kerk Amsterdam organizes an exceptional dialogue, in which the Dalai Lama speaks with scientists and youngsters on the theme of Compassion and Technology. It marks the opening ceremony of the exhibition ‘Buddha’s Life, path to the present’. The opening and the dialogue is a private event.

On Sunday, 16 September the exhibition will open to the general public. Then, ancient and modern are spectacularly combined at De Nieuwe Kerk. You will enjoy a wealth of thousands of years old objects and contemporary art from artists including Ai Weiwei and Yoko Ono. The earliest object dates from the third century A.D. and the most recent from 2018, since some of the installations are being created especially for this exhibition.
