New Mandala App
The Mandala App: 'Buddhist wisdom for contemporary life' is a new app for lightly practicing Buddhists to help them simplify the complexities of modern life. Geshe Thupten Jinpa co- produced the Mandala App and is the content expert and the main speaker.
The Mandala app brings together Buddhist insights and findings of contemporary psychology and neuroscience in an integrated secular format to address the concerns of everyday life in today’s increasingly stressful world. His Holiness the Dalai Lama was pleased to see that, using mobile technology, the techniques to help find peace of mind and develop a warm heart has now been made so easily available to so many people.
The Mandala App is available both for Apple and Android devices in five languages – English, French, Spanish, Russian, and Chinese.
It contains the following main features:
- A series of short video talks by Geshe Thupten Jinpa on a wide range of topics on aspects of everyday life (Mindfulness, Stress, Parenting, etc.) as well as conversations with experts like dr. Daniel Coleman, Richard Davidson, Jack Kornfield from specific fields.
- Guided meditations covering both generic practice as well as targeted meditations for specific purposes
- Suggested list of publications related to the App topics; and 3-month calendar of major events around the world connected with our topics.
The Mandala App is a paid app with annual , half-yearly or quarterly subscription. The subscription will help recover the costs incurred in creating the App and offering it in multiple languages, and also help to continue develop fresh content for you on a regular basis.
